Very nice, helpful staff. Nicely appointed rooms that were very clean.
The only thing I didn't like were the pillows. They were too high for a side sleeper like me.
The most horrible pillows I have ever slept on. They have tags on them that say "firm", "soft" etc., but in reality all pillows were the same - too thick, hard and extremely uncomfortable. Also, even though our room was clean, the prison-like corridor leading to our room was filthy.
Great hotel for your money. The rooms were clean and the staff was plesent. Extended hours for the poolside bar perhaps? :-)
The room was clean and overlooked the beautiful pool and mountains.
The front desk staff was rude. During check-in we were told a shuttle ran until 10 pm but when we went at 9 pm to get the shuttle they made us wait and told us it was unavailable until we really pushed. The restaurant food was excellent but the service was very slow, no one ever checked on us after our food came or refilled drinks.
The food was good,, clean room
The fact that we were locked out of our room for over 30 minutes because our key given to us was not working...had to stand outside room until Chef came to open the door for us with regular keyes....need to fix thoe door electronic knobs
Reception was helpful...recommending some local destinations and directions. The ground floor location of our room offered a nice patio area, with direct access to a very usable and blissfully warm swimming pool. The pool area was also the setting for an early evening big screen movie...nice to sit outside in open air under the stars and watch the movie. The building surrounds the pool area which also has all of those beautiful palms. The grassed and garden areas show some pride of upkeep...very pleasent setting.
Our room seemed a little 'tight'....would have preferred a 'king sized bed but the 'queen' was all that could fit in that space Im sure. As a Priority Club member I expected to add these two nights as credit toward Hoiday Inns latest promotion but was told at check out that because this was booked through a 3rd party that I would not be getting this credit for 2 nights stay???? What a surprise.....not a good one.
Nothing really except the breakfast time where the staff and food were great.
Depressing colors, access to the pool from the bedroom is not practical.
If you intend to travel for relaxing, forget this hotel. On the weekends, the promote noisy parties at the poll: a lot of people come (some are almost naked) and keep dancing and drinking in the poll. The music is terrible and out loud. If you have kids or just want to swim or take a rest... forget. And worst: the hotel staff do not inform you previously that terrible is going to happen.
Everything! Free bikes was a cool touch.
The "resort fee" of $18 slipped into my bill. :(
Loved the pool, loved the water spray to keep it cool, loved the Tinto restaurant on site, the room was pretty great, too.
Just found upon checking what all the hidden fees amounted to. We booked it for $80/night, and ended up spending $120/night after "resort fees" taxes, "tourism fees", etc.. The booking site should more reflect what the actual cost ends up being rather than touting some cheaper idea in comparison to other hotels with the hidden "plus fees" caveat. If we had known it would be $120/night in the end, we wouldn't have booked it, because we were trying to stay under $100/night since we're poor and living off of part time jobs. Probably our fault for not reading the fine print...
Spacious, clean rooms. Easy access to the hotel.
I did not appreciate the service from the front desk personnel, who overcharged me for the stay and didn't even apologize when I pointed it out to them and showed them their mistake. Tried to argue with me about it and didn't correct the charge until they pulled up the actual Booked.net confirmation. The negative check out experience was enough for me not to return or to recommend this hotel.
The food in the restaurant was amazing and the staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgable.
The bathroom could be nicer. The chairs in the room are not for comfort.
Love the look of the hotel. the awesome attitude. the mixed crowd. it was just perfect. I cannot wait to return. I've usually been an ACE hotel person but now I'll be at the Saguaro! I wish I could have stayed another few nights but I had to return to work :(
The front desk staff was very attentive, courteous, and helpfull.
It was obvious the hotel was a make over of previous chain hotel. There was alot of paint and fancy furnishings but no one seemed to focus on actually making repairs to the walls, floors, or ceilings. The building showed it's age inside and out.
Great hotel! It looks like an average motel but the spin (colours, music by the pool...) makes it a great place to relax and have fun.
Room service got mixed up with our orders. But the manager apologized and offered us part of the meal.
